Nadzhir Waqf Ta'awun and Waqf Savings of Indonesia (TWI) Relief Fund for the Poor have established a Multifunctional Musallah in the poor district of the village of Blencong, Desa Segar Makmur, Tarumajaya, Bekasi.

Musallah Ta'awun - this is the name of this small mosque which will be built immediately, in February - April, 2010. Originating from waqf land of the family of Mr. Sabeni to the Waqf Ta'awun of Cilincing, and a cash waqf from the family of Sutrisno Sadikin for establishing a musallah through Waqf Savings Indonesia (TWI), the musallah's activity will be combined with the site of a Preschool (PAUD) and Kindergarten (TK) and will soon stand on land measuring 120 square metres. This complex will consist of a musallah measuring 40 square metres and its supporting annexe of 6 square metres, as well as a Da'wa Office of 20 square metres, all from a construction fund of Rp.100 million from TWI, plus several million rupiahs more from the local community to pay for arrangement of the License and Land Certificate.

This poor village had previously established a place for children's education which was managed by the LSM Church, but it was pointed out that it was becoming the basis of the christianistation of Muslim children. Given their extremely bare economic condition, the helping hands (for basic necessities) of missionaries speaking kind words had evidently received a positive response from the community and its prominent villagers. With the establishment of this Musallah Ta'awun however, it is hoped that da'wah can be established as ma'ruf wal-hikmah with the local community's involvement.

From the time of establishment, the supervisor of Waqf Ta'awun will  introduce the Dinar & Dirham to the local community. For example, wages for construction workers and their assistants will be paid in the form of Dirhams, and local kiosk holders will also be invited to accept the abovementioned Prophetic currency until both the project workers and traders benefit from the turning of the wheels of the economy by the resultant flow of Dirhams. They will also be able to shop in the Islamic market in Sungai Landak Street, Cilincing, which opens at night. This market is 4 Km away from the Fishermen's Village.

Later, when the musallah becomes functional, the Preschool and Kindergarten for the needy in this village will also be implementing the nuqud of the Dinar & Dirham, namely in entry fees and monthly school fees as well as the teacher's stipend. It is estimated that entry fees for the kindergarten will amount to 5 Dirhams ( which can be in instalments) to buy the uniform, pay for the ½ Dirham monthly kindergarten fees, as well as 1 Dirham to purchase teaching materials. Nadzhir Waqf Ta'awun will also be conducting da'wah there by implementing concepts in the same manner as those already implemented in Cilincing, with Wakala al Faqi operating it, in order that paper money can be exchanged with nuqud nabawi, or vice versa.

Wakala al Faqi along with Waqf Ta'awun will also soon open an Islamic Market there, so that the village economy, which has been somewhat isolated due to lack of vehicular access, is able to flourish. This Islamic Market in Belencong Village, Bekasi will later be affiliated with the Islamic Markets in Sungai Landak Street and the Fishermen's Village of Cilincing, Jakarta, which is already operating.

This large undertaking needs support from every quarter. If there are no interruptions construction will be completed in a matter of weeks and will soon after be functional. May Allah, subhanahu wata'ala bestow His Pleasure upon it. Amin
